Insecurity

A British tabloid journalist has blown the "watertight" security of the Olympics apart.

He is reported to have gained work on one of the Olympic construction sites, without any form of security clearance.

He then left various "suspicious" packages in situ, which allegedly have not been found or detected.

The word journalist here should be used very loosely! What kind of ethics does this person have? If what this person has done is true...let's hope the bomb squad isn't taking care of the phoney packages while a real threat could occur. What an irresponsible twit.

I wish no offense to the blogger. I merely wanted to vent my frustrations on what was reported. Thanks.

I am inclined to agree with the above comment.

Stunts like this are often designed to give the newspaper a lurid headline, rather than help improve security in a constructive manner.

To waste the time of security forces on false alarms is dangerous and disgraceful.
